Kenyan midfielder Amos Ekhalie scored in the Finland Premier League to help his side Mariehamn FC stay at the top of the Veikkausliiga standings.
Ekhale’s goal came just after nine minutes of play but 18 year old Santeri Hostikka scored for the hosts Lahti with only five minutes remaining to the halftime break ensuring that the Lahden Stadion encounter ended with a 1-1 draw.
The Kenya International was later withdrawn at the 85th minute and replaced by Finland international Robin Sid.
Mariehamn have 39 points from 19 matches of the league after 11 wins, six draws and just two losses. The side has scored a total of 22 goals and conceded just 10.
Ekhale has clocked a total of 324 minutes in the last five fixtures missing just one of those.
