Arsenal legend wants Xhaka to learn from Wanyama

Arsenal Legend Ian Wright wants the club's defensive midfielder Granit Xhaka to emulate Kenyan International and Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Victor Wanyama.

Xhaka joined Arsenal in June 2016 and has already recieved two red cards. The first one came against Swansea City while the second was as they faced off with Burnley on Sunday. The player will now miss the next four fixtures where Arsenal is set to play against Southampton, Watford, Chelsea and Hull.

Banned

Wanyama also experience the same at Southampton in the 2015/16 season and was suspended from playing five English Premier League matches after he was red carded three times that season.

Wanyama has been very discipline while playing for Spurs and has never received a red card since serving the ban. Ian Wright one of the Arsenal's great now wants Xhaka to borrow a leaf from the Kenyan Captain and avoid more suspensions.

Type of tackle

-When you look at strong players, look at Wanyama’s performances for Spurs at the moment. You don’t see that type of tackle. He seems to be in control. He gives the ball very simply. He does his job in front of the back four, he told BBC's 606 podcast.

-We have to hope with time that Xhaka will improve that side of the game because he needs to, he added.

Wanyama has 27 yellow cards and three red cards in 107 league appearances having committed 210 fouls. Xhaka on the other hand has received 19 red card since April 2014.
