Uganda Cranes midfielder, Yassar Mugerwa has said that he is ready to face his national team captain when his club St. Georges FC hosts Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday in a Caf Champions league clash.
Mugerwa was part of the squad that picked a point in Pretoria on match day one as the two sides played to a barren draw.
Onyango missed the first round due to injury but returned and helped the team ascend to the second spot after match four.
-It’s a pleasure to play against a goalkeeper of his status. I have been playing with him in the national team and know his weaknesses. I know how we can beat him though not easy. I know what we can do to score against him, Mugerwa said after Friday training.
The midfielder struggled to fit in the earlier in the year after joining from Orlando Pirates but later settled and has enjoyed much playtime of late.
-The coaches have been watching how I perform. If I get chance tomorrow, I will use it very well because I am ready. It’s going to be a very difficult game but hopefully, we shall get three points from them.
Both teams have accumulated five points but the Brazilians are ranked better due to their better goal difference.
