Olum in embarrassing defeat as going gets tough

Kenya International left back Lawrence Olum featured in entirety in Portland Timbers loss to Real Salt Lake at Providence Park, Oregon on July 20, 2017 as they went down 4-1.

The match was highly charged as Kyle Beckernan, Fanendd Victor Adebola were all red carded and seven yellow cards flashed by referee Toledo. Before being sent off Beckerman put Salt Lake ahead in the 10th minute a score that was maintained until half time.

J plata added the second in the 68th minute for RSL as A Rusanak scored his in the 68th minute and Rusanak grabbed his brace  by netting again at the 80th minute.

Beckernan was red carded in the 55th minute almost simultaneously with Timbers  Adi. Adebola was red carded in the 53rd minute. The loss complicated Timbers run in the MSL league as thy have already lost two and drew three in the last five encounters. RSL on the other hand have had two wins and three losses in the same number of matches as Timbers. 

Next assignment for Olum will be against Vancouver while RSL will battle out with Sporting KC on July 23 and July 30 respectively.
