Jose Mourinho has revealed why Paul Pogba missed Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Liverpool.
Speaking after the victory the Special One explained that the French international sat out of the clash after sustaining an injury during Friday’s training session. Despite Mou revealing Pogba’s injury, he could not confirm the extent of the injury and for how long he will be missing from the first team.
Mourinho told Sky Sports, “ He is injured. Yesterday in training, an unlucky situation, he is out.” When he was asked the extent of the injury, he replied, “I don’t know.”
Despite the Red Devils missing Pogba’s services, they coped well, beating Liverpool 2-1 at Old Trafford thanks to a brace from Marcus Rashford. The victory has seen Manchester United move five points above their rivals in the battle for second place.
